The Slovak-American Cultural Center, in cooperation with the Permanent Mission of the Slovak Republic to the United Nations and Zivena USA Chapter, proudly present the recording of the live event, "Slovak Women in Space," which features a conversation between astrobiologist Dr. Michaela Musilova and explorer Vanessa O'Brien.

On October 28, 2022, the Slovak American community in NYC had the unique opportunity to meet two remarkable Slovak women who are connected through their love of space and Slovakia. These accomplished scientists, explorers and authors discussed their life journies, described pivotal moments leading them to climb summits, explore Mars and fly to space. Their riveting discussion undoubtfully inspired us all to reach for the stars!

The discussion with Dr. Michaela Musilova, astrobiologist and author, and Vanessa O'Brien, business executive, author and explorer was part of an event hosted at the residence and under the auspices of the Permanent Representative of the Slovak Republic to the United Nations, H.E. Ambassador Michal Mlynar and Dr. Andrea Mlynarova.
